Nietzsche criticizes a group who he refers to as “British psychologists”. He claims that they have made a fatal mistake in their accounts of the origin of human morality. What mistake, according to Nietzsche, have they made? How does Nietzsche’s account differ from these “British psychologists”? Also, do you have any idea why Nietzsche might refer to those who he is criticizing as “psychologists” (as opposed to “ethicists” or “philosophers”)?
