Final Project

Action Research Proposal

The final project for this course is an Action Research Proposal, which will be created and shared in the form of a formal presentation in PowerPoint, including detailed speaker notes for each content slide. The purpose of the final project is for you to culminate the learning achieved in the course by demonstrating the ability to effectively present an Action Research Proposal.

As you create the presentation, imagine that you are given approximately ten minutes to present this information to your fellow teachers in your school during a staff development day, to your school board to solicit support for their ideas, or to your managers as part of your organization’s continuous improvement program. Your goals are to gain approval to conduct this study and implement your proposed innovation or intervention in your place of work.

To create your presentation, use your current, updated action research plan outline that was originally submitted during Week Four. Additionally, you may want to use your mock presentation from Week Five as well as the feedback acquired from your classmates in the discussion forum to build an improved, more complete presentation for a wider, more important audience.

Content

The assignment needs to include the following areas of content.

Presentation – Design (6.5 points): Create a presentation that is professionally designed in 15 to 20 slides, including title and references slides, and has no more than seven bullet points per slide and no more than seven words per point. You must use images to add value to the slide content and high-contrast colors for readability and include detailed speaker notes for each content slide.

Presentation – Content (12 points): In addition to a title and references slide, the presentation must include the following twelve areas:

Explanation of Problem,

Variables, including defined factors, contexts, including recognition of diverse learners, and variables of the proposed study,

Research Questions, which are answerable given your expertise, time, and resources,

Ethics, including a statement of how you address the potential ethical challenges,

Timeline, which is the anticipated schedule for each phase of the intervention,

Statement of Resources, which is a list of what is needed to enact the proposed plan, and

Data Collection, including whether the proposed data collection techniques are justified and whether you are proposing appropriate data collection techniques to answer the study’s research questions (chart from Week Three may be used here).

Written Communication

The assignment needs to adhere to the following areas for written communication.

APA Formatting (0.5 points): Use APA formatting consistently throughout.

Syntax and Mechanics (0.5 points): Display meticulous comprehension and organization of syntax and mechanics, such as spelling and grammar. Your written work should contain no errors and be very easy to understand.

The American Revolution took place between the year 1775 and 1783, the revolution resulted due to conflicts which were observed due to tensions arising between the people of Britain’s 13 American colonies together with the colonial government which was representing the entire Britain. Rebels were increasing day by day because they needed their independence. France also entered on the side of colonists in the year 1778 to be part of the American Revolution. Initially it was like a civil war and gradually turned into international conflict. The French assisted to make British Army force surrender.
American Revolution was inevitable since the British government was attempting to raise revenue through taxes imposed on colonies. The people were oppressed by the British government and they had to say enough is enough by opposing the British colonialism activities. They did this through protests. Another reason that made the American Revolution inevitable is that the American people lacked a representative in the parliament and therefore they had to demand same rights in which other British counterparts enjoy. This resistance led to violence because the British soldiers had killed some people who were protesting. The American had to bring their forces in order to weaken the victory of the British (Allison, 2011).
According to Burgan (2013), Townshend act was passed in the parliament that imposed duties on essential goods; this made the life of the people living in the area hard. Change was inevitable in this case and Americans had to join hands to make sure they evade these duties imposed on essential products. It was not possible for the American colonies to remain British colonies simply because the patriots and loyalists had found themselves being on the defensive positions without any protection from the British army. These patriots to the British government were fed enough and they had to withdraw their existing governments to ensure that they weakened the British government
The parliament also passed a Tea Act which made sure it lowered prices taxed kind of tea which is exported to colonies. It is not necessarily that we must drink tea at 2:00 every day. The bill did not guarantee that every person should take tea each and every day. But to show patriotism the American people have Boston Tea party which remains very important to every American. The governance which was made by British was entirely unacceptable since there were some people who loyal to the British government (Wood, 1993). There is some governance of the British which was accepted by a few. The distance between the colonies and the mother country did not bring all the problems. The British government just enjoyed the power and they initially come with one intention to colonize and even if the distance could be short the problems could be more the same, since they needed to just make colonies and exploit them (Burgan, 2013).
The individuals who live in the colonies are not different from their counterparts from Britain but union was not possible because of the acts they did to them for example imposing a lot of duties on essential products, enacting of strict rules which favor only their British counterparts. These differences could not make a union possible between the two parties (Allison, 2011).
The British had a highly trained army, the largest navy in the world together with efficient finance system in which the war could be easily funded but they were weakened by misunderstanding and also the Americans needed the revolution a lot, this enabled them to succeed in revolutionizing their systems. Therefore the American Revolution was inevitable because of the above stated reasons.
