Please briefly respond to this comment from my peer:
Here at Apple, we strive to protect the environment and leave the world better than when we started out. There are many advantages to using environmental management as a competitive advantage. We will continue to save money, attract a new line of customers, promote innovation, and reduce regulatory risk (Lawrence & Weber, 2014). We have several programs in place that we already have in place and practice.

1. Cost Saving – We have a Reuse and Recycling program, where you can go into any Apple Retail Store and exchange your older device towards the purchase of a newer one. Through this program, we have diverted more than 508 million pounds of equipment from making it into landfills (Apple, Inc, 2014). We are then able to reuse much of these materials in our manufacturing.
2. Product Differentiation – We can attract more green customers, when we are using recycled materials. Even though we reuse the materials, there is no change in the quality of our products.
3. Strategic Planning – Through strategic planning, we specialized facilities that have the ability to reuse water, thus saving resources and money.

“Because it’s our responsibility to make sure that while creating beautiful products, we’re also caring for our beautiful planet (Apple, Inc, 2014).”
