You will be creating four (4) separate models (one for each city). 1. You have been asked to construct a demand model for each of the stores (Chicago, Baltimore, Dallas, and Denver). Check your models for autocorrelation and multicollinearity. 3. Find the price that the store should charge that would maximize their total revenue. You have received a dataset from Chewy that covers weekly sales from January, 2015 to December of 2017. It also includes weekly data for two state indicators: Weekly claims for Unemployment Insurance and the leading index for each state from the same time period. Both of these were pulled from the Fred database. For this project, you DO NOT need to find additional data sources although you may want to introduce a dummy variable. You should provide regression output for the best model in each of the four cities along with an explanation of the variables used in each model, DW statistics and correlation tables for each model, and your conclusions on elasticity and optimal price. Conclude with a simple table showing your recommendations for each store and suggestions of other data that Chewy should begin to collect that would be helpful in future reports of this nature.
