As the last task for this course, you will write a narrative paper sharing your ideas and experiences regarding the historical perspectives and social issues that inform teaching and learning. The purpose of this assignment is designed to test your ability to apply, analyze, and synthesize your understandings of key concepts in a way that will allow you to build your inclusive classroom. In designing and crafting your paper, use the following questions as a guide throughout the essay. What key ideas do you believe are the most important for teachers to consider in terms of race, social class, sexual orientation, disability and other areas of diversity? What connections and linkages can you identify about designing and implementing instruction and assessments that you will embrace in your own teaching practice? Include your own personal reflection on your learning and discuss any questions you still have your learning this semester? Limit your paper to 5-6 double spaced pages (title and reference pages do not count toward page limit).
