The Placement Learning Plan (PLP) forms a road map for the student around the learning objectives and placement tasks while completing a practice placement. In agreement with the placement supervisor, students design a Placement Learning Plan which contains clearly defined learning objectives/goals and thereto linked placement tasks which must in alignment with ACWAs field work requirements and/or international humanitarian and development aid principles and standards if undertaking an international placement. The PLP should be precise and provide learning objectives that are measurable and detailed. Suggested placement tasks/activities should also include as much detail and depth as possible. Do not copy and paste the wording thats displayed in the template. The PLP should be designed at the beginning of the placement and its recommended to update the PLP once the mid- placement review has been completed with the placement supervisor. The PLP must contain at least five different learning objectives. Additional objectives and tasks may be developed over the course of the placement. However, the initial design of the PLP represents the placement learning foundation.
