Based upon your reading of the documents found in Chapters 7 and 8 in the Perman text, identify and briefly describe important issues that confronted home front populations in the North and South during the Civil War.

Your submission will be formatted in two paragraphs (one for the North and one for the South), with 3 examples for each paragraph and two citations – one for each paragraph. This assignment will come from the book Major Problems in the Civil War and Reconstruction Third Edition by Michael Perman and Amy Murrell Taylor..

Identify the type of project you plan to do – company research project or business plan.

You will prepare a project proposal to submit to your instructor. The goal is to provide your instructor with enough information so that he/she can review your project to determine if it will meet the requirement for the capstone course. The proposal should be 500 or more words.

2. Identify the company for the research project or the type of business for the business plan.
3. Discuss in 2-3 paragraphs (250 words) why you chose the company research project or the business plan. You can also talk about why you chose a particular company or type of business.
4. What do you hope to learn from this project?
Submit the project proposal to your instructor as directed.

Create a prediction model for the water usage, including an assessment of which variables contribute in a useful way to the prediction and the strength of their impact;

o Hint: predictions can be made with regression models.
o Hint: remember that you may need to transform the dependent variable (e.g. by taking the log) so that it is more like a Normal distribution.
Include an assessment of which variables contribute in a useful way to the prediction and the strength of their impact.
Include an assessment of how well the model is able to carry out its prediction;
o Hint: one thing you could do here is use measures of how well the model fits the data such as R2.
Include appropriate checks on any assumptions made for the analysis technique(s) used.
o Hint: find out what assumptions are made and how to check them using graphs/tests.Please note that you will not get credit for doing work that is outside the scope of what is being asked for. Please use the following headings in your report which must be in WORD.
Title page/contents page. OPTIONAL. If you wish to include a title page and contents page, please do so but they will not be marked. Do NOT include your name here (or on any header/footer) as the work should be submitted (and thus marked) anonymously.
Introduction. Please use this text and this text alone because you have already undertaken part 1 of the assignment: The objectives are to create prediction models for water usage using data discussed in a previous report. There are no marks available for this and you will get nothing for doing anything extra.
Methods. In ONE paragraph, say why the methods you are using (e.g. multiple regression, model selection procedures) to build the prediction models will achieve the objectives.
Results. Show your prediction model for water usage, including an assessment of which variables contribute in a useful way to the prediction and the strength of their impact.
Model evaluation. An assessment of how well the model is able to carry out predictions.
Assumptions. Report the results of checking assumptions for your final model. Note that you should be checking assumptions as you go along, making sure that you are carrying out and reporting on analyses which do satisfy the assumptions.
Conclusions. One paragraph summarising the main findings from the Results and Model evaluation sections.
Appendix. Here you should list the R commands used to undertake the analysis. This will not be marked but it may be useful to help the marker understand what you have done.
Mark scheme
Part 1
Quality of introduction to the consultancy brief (accuracy and clarity): 10%
Exploration of the data (appropriate methods used correctly and appropriate conclusions drawn) and the clarity of the reporting of this: 25%
Concluding suggestions saying what you might find when doing the analyses for part 2 of the assignment (clarity and appropriateness): 5%Part 2
Brief justification of statistical methods (accuracy, appropriateness, level and clarity): 10%
Application of statistical analyses (correct methods used to an appropriate extent evidence of this will be seen in the results given in the report) and reporting of results (appropriate choice of results presented and appropriate comments): 30%
o For this, a good piece of work will have a good choice of analysis and what to report, and the commentary is likely to be good. For a poor piece of work, both the choice of analysis and commentary are likely to be poor. For a mediocre piece of work, it is likely that either both the choice of analysis and commentary are mediocre or that one is good and one is poor.
Checking assumptions and reporting (appropriate methods used correctly and clarity): 10%
Conclusions (appropriateness, accuracy and clarity): 10%

What theory of partnership taxation supports this difference in treatment? Further, discuss what ethical issues are present in the scenario, and provide a Biblical perspective to frame these issues.”Acceptable sources include scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as any applicable IRS regulations and rulings.”

In the old days, one partner could contribute cash, and another partner could contribute an equal value of appreciated property with no subsequent record-keeping requirements. Future depreciation deductions and gains on sale of the property could be allocated to both partners equally, thereby shifting income from one taxpayer to another. A partner in a lower tax bracket (or with expiring net operating losses) could report the share of the gain on sale of the asset with a relatively low corresponding tax burden.Section 704(c)(1)(A) was added to the Code to ensure that the partner contributing the property pays taxes on any built-in gain. This prevents income shifting among taxpayers and loss of revenue to the U.S. Treasury. There is no corresponding provision for S corporationsgains, losses, and depreciation expenses are allocated among the shareholders without regard to any built-in appreciation on contributed property.Assume a new partner or shareholder owns land valued at $180,000 in which the tax basis is $120,000. How would the incidence of taxation differ for the entities and owners if (1) the owner (partner or shareholder) sold the property and contributed the $180,000 proceeds or if (2) the owner (partner or shareholder) contributed that same property with the entity selling it for $180,000?

The U.S. Supreme Court has nine justices. Currently, five of those justices are generally conservative and four are generally liberal.

Some liberals propose that if Democrats win the White House and gain a majority in the House and Senate in 2020, they should try to expand the number of justices to 11 or 13 (and presumably appoint more liberal judges to fill those new spots.) Is it a good idea to expand the U.S. Supreme Court to 11 or 13 justices? Defend your answer. Question 2: International Politics
In 2016, citizens in the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union, a vote known as Brexit. Since that time, there have been a number of economic concerns raised on both sides of the issue. Should the United Kingdom reconsider its decision and remain in the European Union? Should the United Kingdom have a second vote on Brexit? Or should the United Kingdom continue on its path towards separating from the European Union? Defend your answer. Question 3: The Democratic Ideal
The state of Washington should switch to a Ranked Choice Voting system for all of its local elections (city, county, school board, and other local offices). Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Defend your answer. Question 4: The Media and Politics
Every country should have its own version of the First Amendment, guaranteeing its citizens the right to free speech, freedom of assembly and freedom of the press. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Note: lets assume this universal First Amendment would not address the issue of religious freedom and separation of church and state. The goal of this question is to focus on whether residents in every country should have the right to free speech, assembly and press).

Please conduct background research on the Wells Fargo Scandal. This scandal involved the banks fraudulent generation of checking and savings accounts for its customers without their knowledge or consent.

In addition, bank employees were told to transfer money between customers accounts to set up the new accounts. Credit cards were also pre-approved for clients without their knowledge or approval. The scandal at Wells Fargo highlights numerous underlying issues related to dysfunctional management and a culture that supports such unethical activity. Lencionis Five Dysfunctions of a Team may offer some insight as to how such a culture emerged in the organization and how teams of sales representatives and employees across the banks locations could be led to the engagement of this fraudulent activity. For this paper, you will analyze the Wells Fargo case through your own research on the topic, and identify issues and problems consistent with concepts from the Five Dysfunctions. As you are conducting your research, consider the following:
What were the underlying key symptoms at the bank related to these dysfunctions?
Should these dysfunctions have been apparent or recognizable to management? Why do you think this crisis become so widespread within the organization? What recommendations or advice might you have for
Wells Fargo in relation to minimizing the symptoms/dysfunctions you have identified? The structure of your paper should be as follows:-Introduction (~ 1 page)o Background/Overview: Provide a background of the case, using valid source material to support your information. Be sure to cite your sources appropriately in your paper. Focus on the activities that were going on at Wells Fargo that directly related to the fraud.
Body (~ 2 pages)o Conduct an analysis of the events, focusing on the following:
Problem: What was the actual problem (or problems) that led to the scandal?
Evidence: What evidence do you have to support the identification of such issues?
Analysis: How do the Five Dysfunctions of a Team relate to the culture at Wells Fargo? Be specific here, and write about one or more dysfunction(s) AND the associated key symptom(s). Solution: How should Wells Fargo address the scandal and resolve the issues? You may use existing information and research to examine Wells Fargos reaction and response. However, you may also offer your own recommendations or solutions, as if you were on the Wells Fargo management team at the time of the scandal. Either way, you must be able to support your recommendation/analysis with adequate research, either from the application of class concepts or from independent external research on the case. -Conclusion (~ page)o Conclusion/Summary: Offer an effective summary, highlighting the case and the role of the Five Dysfunctions in helping us understand the underlying problems at Wells Fargo.Paper Requirements:-Use APA formatting for your paper. This includes having… o A properly formatted cover page.o A properly formatted references page.o Properly formatted in-text citations. -Prepare your paper in WORD, using 12-point Times New Roman font.-Use appropriate headings in your paper, as indicated in the recommended structure above. -Use double-spacing with one-inch margins.-In addition to Lencionis Five Dysfunctions of a Team, utilize at least four additional valid sources related to either the Wells Fargo Case or to concepts/theories from our class. – Papers should be a minimum of three pages, not including the cover page or the reference page.Note: This assignment has been designed to address the competencies of critical thinking, writing, and information literacy (please see the assignment rubric).
