The Therapeutic Effects of massage on a Recovery from sport injury

Describe the design of your study. The current study employed a descriptive research design that included a self-administered questionnaire. 2. Describe the nature of the problem(s) your study will address. The application of green initiatives and technologies by Park and Recreation Departments has received increased attention over the last decade. While agencies periodically publish and share green initiatives they may be engaging in, very little has been published identifying the types of green initiatives and technologies Ohio park agencies are employing and the level in which they are being employed as part of agency operations and services. 3.?Describe the purpose of your study. ?In response to limited research addressing issues related to the use of green initiatives and technologies among Ohio park agencies, the purpose of the proposed research is to examine the level and extent at which Ohio park agencies are engaged in implementing green initiatives. Specifically, the proposed research will examine: (a) engagement in green initiatives, (b) the extent of engagement in green initiatives, (c) types of green initiative engagement, (d) levels of operational waste, (e) constraints to engagement in green initiatives, and (f) respondents perceptions of the role of park agencies should play in participating in the green movement. 3. List & describe the objectives of your study Objectives of the proposed research include: ?Identifying levels of green initiative implementation within Ohio Parks. ?Identifying the extent in which Ohio Park Agencies employ green initiatives. ?Identifying the types of green initiatives currently being used within Ohio Parks. ?Identifying Ohio Park waste levels. ?Identifying constraints to green initiative participation. ?Identifying the role Ohio Parks should play in the going green movement. ? 5.?Describe the significance and/or importance of your study. ?The primary significance of the proposed research is the contribution it will add to the scholarly literature on the going green movement within the recreation and parks profession. Secondly, it will provide Ohio Park Agencies with a better understanding of the role their parks are playing in the going green movement. 6.?List five (5) research questions to be included in your study. ?Are Ohio Park Agencies prepared to engage in going green initiatives? At what extent are Ohio Park Agencies engaging in green initiatives? What types of green initiatives are Ohio Park Agencies implementing? What is the current estimated average operational waste produced by Ohio Park Agencies annually? What are the primary factors constraining Ohio Park Agencies from participating in green initiatives? Should the Recreation & Parks Profession play a significant role in the green movement? 7.?Describe the population you will solicit to participate in your study. ?The population to be solicited for the proposed research will park directors managing Ohio Park Agencies or Districts. 8.?Describe how the population under study will be identified. ?Park directors will be identified using the Ohio Parks and Recreation Associations (OPRA) Agency Membership Directory. 9. Describe how you will sample the proposed population. ?The proposed study will utilize a convenience sampling method that will include all park agency or park district managers whose agency hold OPRA membership at the time data is collected. 10. Describe how you will ensure participant protection. The proposed research will be submitted to the University of Toledos Institutional Review Boards (IRB) Human Subjects Review Committee for approval to ensure basic human subject protection processes and procedures are in place. To further ensure participant protection, Ohio Park Agency and District Administrators solicitation to participate in the proposed will include: a personalized cover letter indicating participant identification procedures, confidentiality procedures, and information pertaining to the studys purpose; a copy of the survey questionnaire; and a coded self-addressed, pre-stamped, envelope for survey questionnaire return. Finally, confidentiality of study participants will be maintained through the use of coded return envelopes for tracking response rate. Once a questionnaire is received from a respondent the questionnaire will be re-coded based on the order in which it was received (e.g., 1,2,3,4) with the coded return envelope being destroyed. Further, no personal identifiers will be requested on the survey questionnaire that could identify a respondent or his/her agency. 11. Describe the type of measurement instrument you will use. ?The measurement instrument for the proposed study will be a survey questionnaire. It will include 38 content-item questions based on a thorough review of relevant literature and information related to initiatives and opportunities for going green within businesses and public service agencies. 12. Identify the content areas that will be included in your measurement instrument. The survey questionnaire for the proposed research will include questions addressing the following content areas: (a) engagement in green initiatives, (b) the extent of engagement in green initiatives, (c) types of green initiative engagement, (d) levels of operational waste, (e) constraints to engagement in green initiatives, (f) the role of park agencies should play in in the green movement, and (g) agency demographics.

The Crisis A British Defense of American Rights

Application Paper Directions for The Crisis PS 103 Fall 2018 This application paper is required of you to highlight an important aspect regarding the American Revolution. The Crisis represents a weekly newspaper series published in in London by individuals who supported the colonists in their effort to have the rights of English subjects respected, regardless of where these subjects resided. The complaints issued by the colonists concerned their assertion that the rights guaranteed to English subjects were being denied to those living in the colonies. These claims were recognized as legitimate by many fellow British subjects living in London during this time. After having read this book, as well as drawing upon your knowledge of the Declaration of Independence, I expect you to answer questions that will require you to reflect upon several themes contained within this book and any similarities and differences between this book and the views offered by the colonists in the Declaration of Independence. The fact is that the colonists arguments were accepted by some English subjects; these subjects worked to persuade their government to respect the time-honored rights acknowledged as benefits of English citizenship. After reading this book, you will need to analyze some, but not all, of the viewpoints contained within the book. Doing so will also allow you to illustrate the strength of the bonds that connected the colonists and loyalists before violence unfolded. For this paper, I want you to consider how these commonalities shaped the conflict that unfolded in both positive and negative ways. Below are several questions that you must address in an essay format if you are to do well. To answer these questions correctly, the total length of your paper must be four double spaced pages. You should write in Time News Roman,12-point font. Your paper should also have one-inch margins. Questions 1. One common theme found in many of the early installments of The Crisis is an emphasis on the tradition of English rulers pursuing justices for their subjects. How was this tradition utilized to support the colonists in The Crisis? What aspects of this perspective are found in the Declaration of Independence? Does this perspective still resonate in American politics today? 2. A reoccurring concern expressed in The Crisis by the authors is that King George was not being advised well by his Prime Minister and other members of the cabinet. Consequently, his decisions were often not the best. According to the authors of these tracts, why was the king dependent on these advisors for advice regarding the handling of the conflict with the colonies? How did these politicians achieve this influence over King George? Using the Declaration of Independence as a guide, how did the colonists account for the kings behavior? 3. Which installment held the more persuasive and emotive message for you? Why? How does the propagandistic approach within your favorite installment of The Crisis differ from that espoused by the colonists in the Declaration of Independence? How do these two perspectives drive both arguments? And does it prevent these two arguments from being reconciled? 4. As the conflict between Crown and colonies became unavoidable, and as discussed in the later installments of The Crisis, what did the authors predict would be the primary consequences for Britain? Did their view focus on citizens rights? Institutional change? Did their fears come true? 5. Had the advice offered by the authors of The Crisis been followed, and conflict avoided, we would occupy a much different political environment. What did these authors predict would be the main benefit experienced by American subjects if conflict could be avoided? Do you agree with their view? Why, or why not?

Research an article (Primary References from Peer Reviewed Journals not older than 5 years) and then create an Article Critique.

Follow the format described in the Article Critiques documents in the Resources link under the Welcome to the Course module. Remember when writing a critique of an article or an essay to analyze the reading, identify your personal reaction to it, and develop a clear, concise explanation to support information presented. Knowledge of the discipline in which you are working is the basis on which you build the explanation. Successful critiquing begins with reading. You will need to read the articles more than once to gather an idea of what is written. Your assignment must be formatted following APA Style guidelines. It must be double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman and include an Academy Title Page. There is an example of the Title Page in the Resources link under the Welcome to the Course module. Make sure to follow the correct APA format for References from the most current edition of the APA Publication Manual.
