It looks like no sales were made without an established credit limit. This was first determined by checking the Customer Master excel file and filtering all credit results to show if any customers had a nonexistent credit limit. This filter showed no signs of any customers not having a credit limit. This finding was further corroborated by using IDEA and creating a new database that merged the three-way match database with the customer master list database (three-way plus credit limit). Within this new database I made a direct extraction database of all entries where the credit limit was equal to or below 0. This extraction also yielded no results. However there were valid sales where the subtotal of the sale (not even including previous AR) was over the acceptable credit limit for those customers. There were 85 sales conducted in the 2017 fiscal year where the subtotals exceeded the credit limit of the customer. These 85 sales amounted to 12 million in sales dollars, with 35 of the 85 or 41% of these sales being centered around the new product 7123. The sales from the over extended credit of these 35 sales amounted to 6 million, or half of the total sales dollars.To find this data I took the three-way plus credit limit database and made a direct extraction database of all data where the subtotal for the corresponding SalesOrderID exceeded the credit limit for the customer of that same SalesOrderID. From this database I called overextensions of credit, I created a summarization database where the over extensions of credit would be organized by ProductID and their subtotals summed. This summarization database is where I found that 35 of the 85 sales where for the new product and amounted to half of the total sales dollars from over extended credit sales.
I also tested to see if sales were made where the invoice date was sooner than the last time the credit limit was adjusted. In this database i found 219 instances where the invoice date was placed before the last time the credit limit was changed. To find this data I took the three-way match plus credit limit database and made a direct extraction to find instances where the InvoiceDate was created before ModifiedDate3 (the last time that customers credit limit had been modified).

To find this information I took the unpaid invoices database and created a summarization database where the unpaid invoices were grouped together by CustomerID and their corresponding subtotals were summed together. From this summarization database I created a direct extraction database to identify the CustomerID if their subtotal sum of their invoices exceeded their credit limit. This resulted in the two matches below.
The only place the credit limit was extended beyond normal after the fiscal year end 12/31/2017 was in Territory 5, which barley made sales projections for quarter 4(FISHY). Customer 16 had gone over their credit limit at year end, with 1 of the 6 sales being paid in january of the following year. The last two sales were for product 7123 and the second to last one was for a record high 171,000 for the customer. Customer 42 had 6 sales which made them go over their credit limit as well. Two of these were paid the following january. The last three sales were for the new product 7123, and the amounts of these sales were 171,000 146,000 244,000 respectively. We would want to check to see when these sales occurred, and if they were in any part used to channel stuff an account. ……………………………………………………………………4)

b.) Think about customers who consistently pay late, and have lower credit limits. Those should be factors. Also those that overextend their credit may need to be included in their allowance for doubtful accounts. We would want to check to see if those that are being overextended in credit should added to a possible doubtful account allowance.
c.) this limit i believe to be appropriate because it is saying that they assume about 97% of long term receivables to be uncollectible, which in my opinion is a fair assumption.However, further testing could be done. And i dont think that the ageing tests performed give sufficient evidence to the allowance for doubtful accounts, because it is neglecting the credit worthiness of the customers they are selling to.
You would want to see if there has been anymore sales to these customers since their delinquent payments (check customer 63 and 6).
