-As we know, water, Sun, Air and Fire is essential for human beings, and we cannot live without any of them. People put a lot weight on the significance of water. 60% to 70% of humans body is composed by water. Water also breeds culture. For example, we cannot talk about Egypts civilization without mentioning the Nile. The civilization of Mesopotamia is cultivated by Euphrates and Tigris. On the contrary, instead of praising the significance of water, I have the preference to expose some dark sides of water.
-Water could be disaster such as flood, which cause thousands of peoples death. Water could also be pollution, which poses threat to environmental problems and peoples health condition. Water could also even lead to war, which generates conflict between nations. As for the dark sides of water, I made a decision on focusing on war and pollution. For the broader perspective, different countries involved in the war and conflict for water resource. For a narrower perspective, the deteriorated water quality change residents life. In other words, neither country nor individual cannot avoid being influenced by the dark sides of water.

Endless conflicts and white war are possible to be raised due to water resource. Water can shape conflict. For example, India and Pakistan had launched wars in a dispute over water resource. I will illustrate the long procedure and history of two countries dispute over water, which lasts for 69 years. How is water being used within two countries and whether water is distributed evenly between India and Pakistan? Where is Kashmir? Why India and Pakistan always quarrels with each other because of Kashmir, their boundary line? India built dams in the upstream of the river, how those dams effects Pakistan and how they response to India? CASE TWO:
In addition to war, pollution is the other dark side of water, which worth discussing and digging deeper. Water pollution comes with industrial revolution and it was aggravated due to the development. After the concise introduction for the reason and background of water pollution, I will give the specific example of the citizens who lives next to the Yang Zi River. What was their former life before the water pollution and how their life was changed by the pollution? In the past, they could get the water directly in front of their house from the river and drink it. However, nowadays, they have to go far away in order to obtaining clean water. They also cannot sustain their life by selling the fish any more because a large amount of fish was dead owing to pollution. What is more, their healthy condition was threatened by the polluted water. Under such a bad condition, how they deal with it? Conclusion:
Although water plays a important role in our life and the world, every coin has two sides. We should balance and have a comprehension of both the twinkling and dark side.
