Part 1: Take a look at the Literary Timeline in Lessons. Choose any work that we have read in this class and examine some of the historical events preceding its publication, according to the timeline. Discuss how one or more historical event that takes place no more than 20 years before the publication of the work might be seen as influencing the theme or overall message of the work.

Zora Neale Hurston: How It Feels to Be Colored Me

Part 2: “Yet Do I Marvel” contains many classical references. Look up the meaning of one of them. Explain what that reference contributes to your understanding of the poem. How does it relate to the overall message?

Part 3: “The Negro Speaks of Rivers” also connects a people to a symbol that is timeless and ‘of the earth’. This is not the first work we’ve seen that discusses rivers. Water is a symbol in many works. Discuss how it appears in Hughes’s poem and in two other works we’ve read this term; what does water seem to represent in these works?

From your readings and research this week it should be apparent that many feel the future of Social Security is at risk. In addition to reading chapters seven and eight, I would like you to read the following article on “Why Raise the full retirement age?”

Consumer Learning

Select a product, either existing or from your ingenuity, and design an ad purporting to teach consumers how to use the product and explain its benefits/features. In a well-written, 3- to 4-page paper discuss the cues, or stimuli, represented in the ad.

Go to the ASCLD / LAB Website located at http://www.ascld-lab.org/ . Review the process of forensic lab accreditation and research one ASCLD accredited lab in your area. Be prepared to discuss. outline the process of forensic lab accreditation and determine what a laboratory needs to do in order to fulfill the requirements. Identify an ASCLD accredited lab in your geographic location and further research this lab. Povide an overview of its operations and accredited capabilities.

Describe at least three challenges of performing data acquisition on a device using a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) disk configuration. Determine whether or not you believe any one RAID configuration presents more challenges than the others and provide justification.

Use the Internet to research and select at least one forensics tool that aids a forensic specialist in RAID data acquisition. Assignment 2: RA 2: Research Question and Literature Review

In RA 2, you will finalize the research question on a human services topic that you selected earlier in the course and conduct a literature review to better understand the problem being presented through the research question.

In this assignment, you will get an opportunity to practice many different concepts and skills that you have covered throughout this course.

Tasks:

Using what you have learned about research questions, along with the feedback you received in M4 Assignment 2, present your finalized research question on a topic in the field of human services. Your question should clearly depict the variables being examined and the relationship between these variables.

Gather, analyze, and critique scholarly literature and develop a literature review to address your research question. Use the list of resources that you finalized in M4 Assignment 2, in addition to any other articles that you found since Module 4.

Your literature review must be based on:

Credible research sources
A minimum of one quantitative and one qualitative research study
One or two seminal or foundational sources
At least five peer-reviewed journals and two websites
Current sources from within the past five years (with the exception of the seminal or foundational source mentioned above)

In addition, your literature review must:

Synthesize the research and provide a summary of how the selected literature helps support the research question.
Discuss common themes found in the literature related to the topic.
Compare and contrast the typical research methodologies found in the literature you reviewed—qualitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods.
