Step 2: Run Descriptive Statistics

Now that your data is in Minitab, you will look at the descriptive statistics for this dataset. Select the Ribbon at the top titled “Statistics,†and then select “Descriptive Statistics†. Under the “Data tab†select a variable, under the “Statistics tab†check all the boxes, then click “OK†.
Discussion Question Part 1:
How could you use Minitab descriptive statistics for data analysis research? Write about your experience running descriptive statistics. Use the results in the Session Window to support your response. Then add to your discussion with the information you learn when completing Step 3.
Step 3: Minitab and Graphs
You will now look at graphing. Select the Ribbon at the top titled “Graph,†then select “Histogram,†and then select “Simple.†Choose one of the variables and select “Ok”. You can create other Histogram graphs by choosing different variables. You can also choose from the other ten graph choices shown on the Graph ribbon. Remember you can use the left navigation column to access your work.

Before 1972, scientists believed that the rings of Saturn were composed of gasses or dust; on tests, any student who claimed that Saturn’s rings were composed of solids was incorrect because the true answer was that the rings were a gas. Assignment 3: Justification Report – Presentation

Due Week 8 and worth 150 points

Now that you have completed your report, it is time to design and present your findings. Your task is to organize and develop the three (3) parts (introduction, body, and closing) of an effective presentation, based on your Justification Report (Assignment 2.3). Chapter 12 in our text provides overall information on presentation format, content, and delivery. Please do not simply cut and paste your justification report content to the slides. Instead develop clear, concise content that enhances your presentation narration or notes. Remember that your slides are meant to be highlights and your audience should not spend a great deal of time reading from the slides but instead listening to you present the concepts.

Create an eight to ten (8-10) slide presentation in which you:

1. Ensure that your PowerPoint presentation fulfills the appropriate length requirements and professional style requirements.
2. Open with an engaging introduction of the topic of your report. Include one (1) title slide and one (1) introductory slide.
3. For the body of your presentation, cover the main points of your report. Create slides that reinforce and illustrate your main ideas. Follow basic design principles for effective slide content.
4. For your single closing slide, finish with a memorable wrap-up statement that refocuses on the purpose of your report.
5. Use PowerPoint voice-over and / or the notes section to present your slides.

Use the Internet to research criminal proceedings in one (1) of the six (6) model countries from the textbook. Imagine you are traveling abroad in your chosen country when you witness a local national committing a violent assault. The criminal is arrested and charged by the police.

 

Upon returning to the United States, a professor in one of your criminal justice classes asks you to complete a written report on your experience.

 

Write a three to five (3-5) page paper in which you:

1. Determine the pertinent demographic, social, political, and economic factors about your chosen country.
