Although identity formation does not begin or end in adolescence, it seems to take on greater importance during this period. Based on the information on pages 513–523 of your course text, explain three reasons why this is so. (Consider the concept of the actual self and possible self; the influences of gender, culture, ethnicity, and sexual orientation; and the development of autonomy during this stage of development.)

When children enter adolescence, many important changes and adjustments occur in their relationships. Review the information on pages 523–5 37 and pages 547–549 in your course text. Then, describe three causes of stress or changes in relationships that adolescents may experience, and discuss factors that may promote or inhibit adolescents’ ability to cope with these stressors.

Target Market:

Begin by discussing segmentation of the market based upon demographic, behavioral, geographic, and psychographic criteria. Apply these criteria to your company, explaining their importance to the company. This analysis will enable you to identify the target market(s) thoroughly. Within your explanation, discuss why the identification of a target market is of the utmost importance to a company.

SWOT Analysis:

Perform a SWOT analysis for your company remembering that the strengths and weaknesses are internal and the opportunities and threats are external. Set this up using a table and/or bullet points with clear explanation following the chart.

Your submission should be a minimum of two pages in length, double-spaced with a reference page and title page. References should include at least one additional, credible reference beyond the textbook. Choose Point of View

Step 1. Choose a scene and the two characters to work with. The scene you choose could be one of you have already written or one that you are planning but haven’t written yet. In either case, this exercise will help you sort through the decision about the best “point of view” for your story.

Step 2. Read the “Point of View” section in Chapter 2 of your textbook before you tackle this assignment.

Step 3. Write the scene from Character A’s point of view using first person.

Step 4. Write the same scene from Character B’s point of view using the third person.

Step 5. After you finish writing your scene from two points of view, take a minute to analyze what you have on hand. Which point of view works best? Maybe you will stick with the point of view you started with. Fine! Or maybe you will decide to switch to another point of view.

Here’s a thought. Some stories are told by an omniscient narrator. As your text puts it, this kind of narrator “gets into everyone’s mind in turn.” Maybe you will decide to go with an omniscient narrator, in which case, you could use both points of view.
