Parental divorce and its affects on child education/behavioral changes

This paper is a literature review of at least 20 sources/prior research studies**. My main focus ideally is focusing on grades K-5 and grades 6-8 and then compare. I am going to type my introduction to give an overview of what my paper is about. I am pasting the intro below. Every day, divorce is becoming more common, sometimes children have to witness multiple divorces or separations. Having a child grow up in a hostile environment, even if the divorce is peaceful, can have negative impacts on the childs emotional state and mental development. This paper will discuss the impact of parental divorce on a childs/adolescence education as well as any behavioral changes they may have in school. The focus of this paper specifically will be to determine whether children having witnessed a parental divorce are less likely to attain information in school, whether children have a greater learning curve and if they have any behavioral changes. Behavioral changes could include bullying, lack of motivation, as well as other destructive behaviors. Often times, children do not know how to handle traumatic experiences such as divorce. They may not be emotionally mature enough to understand the situation and tend to lash out or channel their frustration into other outlets. With children especially, they have a difficult time putting into words how they are feeling so they act out and have a range of behavioral changes. Similarly to behavioral changes, many children and teenagers that witness their parents divorce have many academic changes. They have a difficult time obtaining information in school and in some instances lose motivation to learn or are withdrawn. Due to high stress, frustration and emotions, they feel overwhelmed and usually find it difficult to grasp materials. Education and good grades are a crucial part in any individuals life. It allows people to go to college and get a higher education so they have the opportunity to get a well paid job. Also, these were tips that were sent in order to write the literature review if it helps. Tips for writing your literature review paper 1. The introduction to your paper should provide the reader with a roadmap to the paper, describing the main sections of the paper. The substantive content of each section can be briefly described, but only in the context of being part of a section of the paper. The introduction should not be simply a general introduction to the topic. 2. It is conventional in sociology when introducing a study/article for the first time to use the names of the authors and give the citation. For example, Fernandez and Cho (2001) conducted a study on the effects of obesity on diabetes. They also seldomly say They conducted a study or The authors conducted a study. It is best to follow general practice in this regard. 3. The language generally used by sociologists is to conduct a study or conduct research, not do a study, do research, perform a study, or perform research. 4. The term data refers to more than one datum. Therefore the plural form of the verb should be used. For example Data were obtained from surveys, not Data was obtained from surveys. It is appropriate to say The data are collected from a survey. It is not appropriate to say The data is collected from a survey. 5. Be sure that you use clear transition statements between your discussion of one study and your discussion of the next study. For example, you could say In another study on child cognition . Or A different approach was taken by Feldman (2009) to study.. 6. It is not possible for data analysis or results to prove that a hypothesis is true. It is only possible for data analysis, or results to support a hypothesis. It is not appropriate to use the word prove in this context. But it is appropriate to say The results indicate or The results suggest. It is not appropriate to say The results prove. 7. When a number begins a sentence, it should be written as a word. For example, do write the following sentence. Forty percent of the sample was white and 60% was black. Do not write the following sentence. 40% of the sample was white and 60% of the sample was black. 8. Most studies that students will review are not experiments. Use the word experiment only if the research actually uses an experimental design with random assignment of subjects to different treatments. Refer to research based on survey data or administrative data as a study, not an experiment. Tips continue on back of page. 9. In the formal writing of a literature review, sociologists say that they administered questionnaires, or asked questions using a survey. They do not say that they give questions. 10. Data analysis can lead to findings or results, but it is not the case Data lead to findings or results. It is the analysis of data from which we draw inferences or conclusions. Select a research question that would be appropriate for your area of specialization or experience.

For this task, you will pull together your learning from the previous assignments to create a quantitative or qualitative mock research proposal in PowerPoint. Assume you will be presenting your proposal to the committee that decides who will receive funding for their study. The required components for your PowerPoint presentation are as follows (consider using 1-2 slides for each area). Begin your presentation with a brief description of your topic of interest.Research Question and Hypothesis.
Note the research question, as well as the null and alternative hypotheses. Be sure to clearly identify the specific independent and dependent variables you would like to study.

Research Method.
Clearly state the specific method that you selected to use with as much detail as possible, along with a rationale as to why it is appropriate given your research question. Which of the four research goals does this question address?

Population.
Define the population of interest for your study and its characteristics. This should include, but is not limited to 1) age; 2) gender; 3) ethnicity; 4) additional cultural factors; and 5) education level.Sampling.
Define your method of sampling the population (for example random, convenience, etc.). State how you would gain access to the participants. Justify your choice of the sampling method.

Procedures.
Describe the treatment(s), conditions, intervention(s), etc. that you could potentially use. Explain and justify your choices.

Measures.
Briefly describe the measures you would use, what scale they are a part of, how they fit, etc. Data Type and Collection.
State the type of data you need to collect and how it would be collected. Explain how the data you collect will answer your Research Question. Discuss how this data and collection method is appropriate for your qualitative research design. Justify your choices. Ethical Protection of Participants.
Describe any ethical issues you foresee with your study. Make a preliminary assessment of the level of risk associated with participation in your study that might need to be raised with the Institutional Review Board.

Validity.
Discuss ways in which the results of your study may not be valid, such as threats to internal and external validity. Examine any problems or limitations in your design that may lead to concerns here, along with possible concerns regarding the role of the research, and any biases, values, personal interests, etc. that might influence your study.Role of the Researcher.
Briefly, but explicitly, state biases, values, and personal interest in the area of study and your experience with it. Predict how these would affect your study.

Describe the group, its purpose (work function), how this group fits into the overall organization, its reporting relationships, and its key stakeholders.

68 slides (excluding title and reference slides) and speaker notes of 200250 words per slide.
A key component of an effective workplace is the ability of the groups to successfully collaborate. Choose a work group within your organization. Using a model of organizational improvement, plan a development project for this group. Include responses to the following in your presentation:

How will you gather data (interviews, questionnaires, or group discussions) from the group and any key stakeholders?
Describe the type of data that you will need to design your development plan.
How will you diagnose the level of functioning for the group?
Give a few examples of developmental activities that you would use for various levels of functioning that are based on your diagnosis.
How would you communicate the progress of the group to both group members and key stakeholders?
You must include a minimum of 4 scholarly references.

What would whites in Missouri in 1855 consider tragic about Celias story? Why?

A. This is an essay about historical events. Refer to the past in the past tense. B. Do not use contractions. In formal writing, words such as cant and wasnt should be written out as cannot and was not. C. Do not write in the first person. Words such as I, me, andmy, e.g. The expression In my opinion… should not appear in formal prose. D. Avoid the passive voice. Sentences should contain subjects and active verbs. One knows a passive construction by excessive appearance of the word was. So, a sentence written as Celia was purchased as a sex slave. should be rewritten to better reflect action and responsibility: Robert Newsom purchased Celia as a sex slave. When citing evidence, you must use parenthetical references at the end of any sentence that uses quotations or directly references Celia, A Slave. Write it as: (McLaurin, 23). The 23 would refer to page 23 if that is where the evidence appears. See example within the essay question below. organize your response around the following three questions:
2.What do modern readers consider tragic about Celias story? Why? 3.What do modern readers consider tragic about Georges story? Your answer should include direct references from:1.John C. Calhouns Speech on the Slavery Question2.Charles Sumners The Crime of Kansas 3.Keziah Goodwin Hopkins Brevards, Diary
