Keys to Successful Time Management
Time is of the essence when earning a degree, such as your Ed.S., and it is important to set aside at least 10 hours a week for studies. This may sound like a great amount of time; however, as you move forward into the proposal and dissertation or research project writing, you may have to dedicate more than 10 hours per week.
Remember, you will need to read recently published dissertations, collect current scholarly articles for your research, design your study, and obtain permission to conduct your study while taking your coursework. These tasks are all time consuming. Access and read the resource, Time Management Approaches attached.
Here are some keys to help put your time to good use:
2. Develop a system of cataloguing your dissertation or research project components, including the references and articles you will use for your study. Hard- copy notebooks or files work well.
3. Begin your home library as soon as possible. Gather texts and articles you can reference to remain productive during the research process. You do not want to spend time trying to locate information but rather should have the information you need at your fingertips.
Compose a four-page paper in APA, 6th edition format, explaining your plan for time management. Include in your essay how you will address each of the Keys to Successful Time Management. Choose at least seven time management approaches included in the document or found in other sources, and cite those sources. These keys can include those noted above, included in the document, or found in other sources that you know will truly work for you.
Compose a well-developed section for at least 7 time management approaches (keys).
Your paper should also include a title page and references page with at least two references in APA format (6thedition), either from your readings, self-selected articles, or a combination.

Select the three paradigms that you did not explore in your Unit 3 project.
You have to read an essay (will attach link) and write a reading response with the following directions. ARTICLE: https://www.bucknell.edu/documents/griotinstitute/deanarticle.pdfAs you read the article, see if the author provides compelling evidence to support her claims. Does she follow through on the argument presented in her thesis statement? After you’ve read the article, ask yourself if the author’s argument is relevant. Address all these questions in your response. This is a critical response, not a summary of the article you’ve read. Your responses should be critically engaged. Do not generalize or summarize. Provide specific examples from the article to support your point of view.Avoid numerous or long direct quotes. If you do quote or paraphrase, be sure to cite your source. You should always cite your sources for anything you write, every time. To not do so constitutes plagiarism. A reading response paper doesn’t typically include multiple outside sources (it’s not a research paper)–unless your want to use them, which is be fine. The best format for a reading response paper is to follow the in-text citation style guide at link below. If you only cite the article you’re responding to, then you are only using one source. For this, you can simply give all the article information in your introductory paragraph, which you should do anyway– so no need for “sources” list at bottom of your paper. Then follow the guide for the style you prefer (see three options at link below) for in-text citation. In this case, typically just the page number.
Purpose of this Assignment: The is a PhD level paper. One of the most significant challenges for the Superintendent of Schools is making the preparation, presentation, and administration of the budget understandable to the stakeholders. The budget for even a relatively small school district can exceed $30,000,000 with per pupil expenditure of $15,000 or more. The expenditure side of the budget includes numerous accounts. Revenues are derived from many sources including federal funds, state funds, grants, tuition, etc. A significant portion of the revenue used to fund schools comes directly from the local property tax levy. Needless to say, this direct connection between the school budget and tax rate for every homeowner is highly visible and, in many cases, controversial. It is, therefore, absolutely critical that the superintendent of schools is able to prepare, present and administer the school budget in a manner that is understandable and transparent. This assignment is designed to provide an opportunity for you to gain an overview of the year-long budget cycle. It also provides a first opportunity to compare and contrast ways that the budget process can be made understandable and transparent. Review: During Week One you were asked to obtain a number of Board of Education agendas from either the district where you work or reside. One of these agendas should include budget information. Review the agenda as well as the Budget Overview document. Write a 250- to 300-word essay comparing and contrasting the budget process for the district where you work or reside to that outlined in Budget Overview.
