Assignment structure: Utilizing the questions listed below, conduct an ecological analysis of your internship agency from a client and worker perspective. Include issues of age, class, race, culture, ability, gender, gender identity and expression, immigration status, mental health status, political ideology, religion, sexual orientation where relevant. Use your impressions to do this assignment, but also incorporate relevant points and ideas from the appropriate reading. To help you focus, consider the following questions: 4) Whose needs take priority: clients, line staff, executives, policy makers, external systems, etc.? Who has the power? 5) Do you see needs or issues that have been overlooked? Try to explain. 6) Whats your beginning sense of how well the agency meets its service mandate? In your analysis be certain to assert the following: 1) Mission of the agency 2) Identify target population and their reasons for seeking services. 3) Worker and client perceptions of the agency environment as they relate to values, policies and practices of the organization. 4) Discuss the use of power and its impact in the organization. 5) Identify and discuss any needs not being addressed. 6) Discuss your impressions on how well agency meets its mission statement.
