What were your differential diagnoses? Provide a minimum of three possible diagnoses. List them from highest priority to lowest priority. What was your primary diagnosis and why?

SOAP Note submissions are a way to reflect on your Practicum Experiences and connect these experiences to your classroom experience. SOAP Notes, such as the ones required in this course, are often used in clinical settings to document patient care. Please refer to the Seidel, et. al. book excerpt and the Gagan article located in this weeks Learning Resources for guidance on writing SOAP Notes. All SOAP notes must be signed and each page must be initialed by your preceptor. When you submit your SOAP Notes, you should include the complete SOAP Note as a Word document and pdf/images of each page that is initialed and signed by your preceptor. You must submit your SOAP Notes using SAFE ASSIGN. Please Note: Electronic signatures are not accepted. If both files are not received by the due date, faculty will deduct points per the Walden Late Policies. To Prepare: Review the Episodic SOAP Note Exemplar provided in this weeks Resources in preparation for this Assignment. Use the Episodic SOAP Note Template to complete this Assignment. After completing this weeks Practicum Experience, select a patient that you examined during the last 3 weeks. With this patient in mind, address the following in a SOAP Note: Subjective: What details did the patient provide regarding his or her personal and medical history? Objective: What observations did you make during the physical assessment? Plan: What was your plan for diagnostics and primary diagnosis? What was your plan for treatment and management including alternative therapies? Reflection notes: What would you do differently in a similar patient evaluation? Please Note: Your Episodic SOAP Note Assignment must be signed by Day 7 of Week 3.

Analysis of the impact of the external environment of a chosen industry and an evaluation of graduate employment opportunities in a selected career.

The report will identify, explain and evaluate the main external contextual factors that are affecting the management and operation of organisations in an industry (and in a sector) of your choice. The report will also identify and explain the professional skills, expertise and qualifications needed for a graduate career in that contemporary business environment. The report will contain distinct sections relating to this. The aim is to enable you to focus on a potential career interest and profession. For example, Human Resources professional, professional Marketer, Chartered Accountant, Financial Services professional and so on. The report will therefore explore the nature of the profession (different types of organisation, function and roles), and what professional skills, expertise and qualifications are necessary for a role suitable for a graduate and evaluate your own skills now. You must choose an industry of interest. E.g. manufacturing, transportation, retailing, personal services, insurance, agriculture, financial services, information and communication, legal professional services, or computing and gaming, health care, education and so on. You must ensure you are aware and explain whether the chosen industry in the public, private or voluntary sector or all. The report will identify, explain and evaluate the main external contextual factors: global and competitive business environment: political, legal, economic, social-cultural, technology/innovation, ethics (and sustainability), and the environment (PESTEL macro factors). Explore how organisations identify through environmental scanning and evaluate the impact of and respond to these influential issues in relation to: The organisation, its planning, decisions and actions Those employed by these organisations and the Professional skills, expertise and qualifications needed for a graduate career in the contemporary business environment in a selected career (e.g. Human resources). Task Elements: You must present your analyses in a written report format. The compulsory format you must use is shown below. Additional guidance will be provided in the lead lectures. You will use numbered sections and headings, wellconstructed paragraphs, page numbers and include an appendix, a bibliography and well presented. Therefore, you will be required to research industries and sectors and identify the external contextual factors (macro and micro key challenges and use PESTEL as an analytical tool) and evaluate the impact on the industry itself, the organisation and companies within it. The external contextual factors represent challenges that the organisations in this industry must respond to that impact on policy, plans and strategy for example. You will also evaluate this. You will include a section evaluating the skills, attitudes and expertise required for a graduate student to succeed in this industry in your chosen career. E.g. As a finance professional a human resource professional, a professional marketer, and so on. o Your own degree programme will determine this. o This analysis will be in placed in the Recommendations section 4. 0 of the report. o You will place your own Personal Key Skills Analysis in the appendix. This will encourage you to reflect on your own current skill set and how appropriate it is in relation to what is required in this industry (a skills gap analysis) (as per section 4.0). It will also begin your journey of personal development the plan of how you will develop these skills through placements, internships and through skills development in this module and through Business Futures. This will be placed in the appendix of the report (section 6.0).

Prevention and Legalization Reflection

Overview This discussion will require you to reflect on all that you have researched and analyzed. Instructions Look back to your post from Week 02 Discussion 03: Marijuana; incorporating the knowledge you’ve gained throughout this course, discuss whether drugs should be legalized. Identify a theoretical framework that supports your stance and be sure to consider issues regarding the nature of addiction and intervention options that are embedded in your selected framework. Based on your opinion, describe how law enforcement and treatment providers should work together in this system. Has your opinion changed over the course of the semester? Comment on two other posts. Week 02 Discussion 03: Marijuana; Marijuana Should Be Legalized There is a lot of misinformation and propaganda surrounding the legalization of marijuana. As an expert, I believe that the drug should be legalized for use. The use of marijuana for medical reasons is not a recent idea. It has been embraced in the western countries since the 18000, and by the turn of the Twentieth Century, there were many publications about it. According to science, marijuana can be used to treat disorders such as pain relief and glaucoma among other disorders (Compton et al., 2016). Even today, many patients are using it for treatment of various ailments. This confirms does not harm if used in the right manner. Secondly, the legalization of marijuana will boost the economy through the creation of jobs. According to Compton et al. (2016), the legalization of the drug will have created over 200000 jobs by the end of 2010. Those are more jobs compared to those generated by the manufacturing sector or even the government employment. Being an economy driven by consumption, the United States will yield more income from the legalization. In addition, clinical data points out that marijuana improve the patient’s quality of life. However, the state should put laws in place to control the sales and distribution. The rules should define the minimum age and imposing tough controls. There should be criminal sanctions to people selling the drugs to the under-age. This will restrict their access and misuse of marijuana. The state can ensure the regulations are enforced by creating a task force. Revenue collected from marijuana will be used to control the enforcement and other activities like educating the public. Bias enforcement should be prevented by deploying people from all races to control the use and distribution. Reference Compton, W. M., Han, B., Hughes, A., Jones, C. M., & Blanco, C. (2017). Use of marijuana for medical purposes among adults in the United States. Jama, 317(2), 209-211.
