After meeting with Dr. Shaimaa alQattan in speech department she has expressed some of the limitations facing her: Primary health care doctors either they dont know about salim alali center or they send all patients whether they are applicable or not, this caused many problems (kids with speech problems are not treated and not sent to the right health care facility, to many non-cases come to the center and are crowding the center causing delay in patients appointments) and she have tried to fix this by sending a letters to the Ministry of health saying that she is welling to train doctors about the cases and services provided by the center to each governate in Kuwait but she didnt receive any response. There is a medical report department that is a part of the ministry of health which is supposed to have all reports and records of all the patients in the center, but they keep losing files and numbers and they have no record system. So, dr. Shaimaa and all the employees manually add names and numbers of patients in a computer software and opening new files inside their department that took too much time and effort where that effort and time should be for the patients causing reduction in efficiency of the center. They hear about a department that is specialized in annual statistics of the center, but employees are not able to see those statistics that could help them with changing things in the center to make it more effective and efficient. The center only has 1 manager which is Dr. Tameem alAli, the center has two departments speech and hearing department with no head of departments. Causing too much problems and ciaos with employees (flow of work, bad employees are not kicked out, good employees are not given bonuses because the head of the center is too busy to know their everyday work).
