Jessica Discussion https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/chicago-police-department-routinely-violated-people-s-rights-feds-say-n706586 Chicago Police Department Routinely Violated People’s Rights, Feds Say. The unethical actions of the Chicago Police Department lead to there being a need for reform in their department. They have countless problems with their officers and the way they carry out their duties. They have been known to shoot at fleeing suspects, use force to retaliate against people, fail to investigate most misconduct claims and they skew probes to favor officers. The entire chain of command is unethical in this entire investigation. The problem with corrupt officers is that they tend to learn from a corrupt superior. I believe a reform is very much needed. In order to fix what has long been passed down through the department from rank to rank, there needs to be some sort of order restored. And if a reform is what that takes then Im all in favor of that. Danny Discussion https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/01/25/580584737/baltimore-police-officer-indicted-on-charges-of-misconduct-fabricating-evidence The Unethical actions that led to the outcome was an officer who planted evidence and then walk to the sidewalk to turn on his body camera, he did not know it would also capture 30 seconds prior to turning on his body cam. As a result of his actions he was caught placing tampering with evidence. The officer was suspended with pay and two other were placed on administrative leave, as a result of his action the station was place on noticed and other cases similar to this one could be through out.
