Determine all facts for this incident /15 Define any concepts for this incident /15 Use your knowledge of design and our degree plan to help with framing the problem, determining facts and defining concepts.

We have discussed engineering ethics which discusses the philosophy of how we design and create things as engineers and we have discussed how our degree is used to design. Now that we understand these two concepts we can start to use our analysis skills on real world issues that have occurred. Please select an event from the past where a design has failed provide references including news reports on the incident show how information unfolded on the incident. With the information you gather construct what the problem was and discuss the facts and concepts. Using what we have discussed about design and the content of our degree plan apply the information to your discussion of the flaws in the design. Examples: ford pinto, titanic, Hindenburg, bridge collapse, rollercoaster flaws, major product recalls, etc. Resources Lecture 7,8,910,11,12,13,17, and 18 To receive credit for the assignment you must have this page stapled to the front of the assignment with you name and ID on it. How can a good employer have more than 400 writers yet at the peak season we get to about 600 orders?

Some of us who were here in 2016 and 2017 will attest that a lot has changed in the company. The company is on a self-destruct mode courtesy of greed. At a time like this last year, a writer with a low rating of even 4.3 would still be among the top 200 writers and they would still get 3 to 5 new orders on a daily basis. Today such a rating is ranked at position 370. The last writer in the catalogue is currently ranked at position 468. The problem started when the company started to recruit new writers from left right and center without considering the plight of its existing writers. They fire 2 writers, they hire 30 new ones. After all, an order, whether done by writer A, B or even Z still earns the company some 60% or 65% of the paid amount. So, where are you left as a writer? You bid overnight albeit unsuccessfully but the few ones who are successful will still earn the company the same returns. During the low season the orders go to below 100 yet we have more than 400 writers. Does it make any sense? There are so many writers that some customers write the name of their preferred writers in the description so that they can be spared from the countless bid messages from writers. If the companys intention is to maintain high-quality writers, why does it resell the accounts for fired writers? Some people at the heart of the company have specialized in the art of reselling accounts whose initial owners were fired. Thats why unlike in the past, it is impossible to preview the profile of fired writers. Thats why you can find a writer with a code like 160000 having completed more than 300 orders yet they joined in August 2018. It is not bad to create employment but just like Essaypro is in this business to earn profits, the writers are also here to earn a living. It is sad that the company only cares about itself and not about the people who make it successful. Now the company is coming up with pressurized moves.

Analyze the source of the crisis and the specific resolution of the issue. Indicate whether the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or another sovereign state or country provided intervention.

A number of currency crises have affected certain countries, which have also resulted in contagion in the sense that the crises affected neighboring countries. In a critical essay, select a country (or countries) affected by a specific currency crisis. Has the country’s economy recovered since the conclusion of the crisis? Support your findings with additional academic references.Directions:
Your essay is required to be 8-10 pages in length, not including the title and reference pages.

Loneliness of the LDR and Metamorphosis

The essay is to be a review, summary, and reflection on two stories. Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner by Alan Sillitoe and Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. How Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner being 1st person point of view affects the story versus metamorphosis being 3rd person? What is driving the main characters in each story? What is the authors’ intentions and strategies? The main characters, smith/gregor, social-economic/family status.

Demonstrate a good understanding of the research design and how the methodology impacts the analysis strategy.

PSM510 Assignment 2Word Limit: 1,000 (+-10%) this does not include references, appendices, and figures/tables. This assignment makes up 50% of your total module mark, with the remaining 50% being taken from Assignment 1. You will be evaluated using the following rubric: ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION
60% EXPLANATION AND UNDERSTANDING
20% STRUCTURE / CLARITY / PRESENTATION
20%
The key elements of assessment for this module are:
1) To be able to conduct the analysis correctly, as evidenced by output in appendices
– you should be able to select and use the correct analysis for the design and data you are given
2) To be able to clearly, and accurately interpret the results
– offer a clear, and concise explanation of what the results mean this is the most important skill to evidence here
– select which elements of the output need to be used in interpretation
– accurately report, in APA style, the findings from the analysis

Discuss in a clear and concise way choices made in the analysis (e.g. why you have chosen the analysis)
Provide a step-by-step discussion through your analysis, detailing the decisions you have made at each stage.
Provide concise answers to questions relating to design, background, and preliminary analysis (e.g. assumptions tests or reliability checks). Well-presented and structured in a clear and coherent way.
Follows APA style for reporting of data analysis especially correct use of Greek and Latin symbols, italics, and accurate selection of coefficients to report.
Factor Analysis
A researcher is developing a scale to measure personality. They have been developing items using the 8-steps approach and have now begun to pilot test their items. They run an exploratory factor analysis on 44 items, using data collected from over 300 participants the data has already been checked for any missing cases and a few missing entries replaced with the mean for that item, there are no negatively worded items. The output file Assignment 2 Factor Analysis shows the results from this analysis. You should use this to answer the questions below. 1. Based on item facility, are there any items you would flag, and why?
2. Report whether the scale is reliable with the appropriate statistic, and whether any further items should be flagged.
3. A principle components analysis was run with orthogonal rotation. Coefficients less than .3 were suppressed.
a. Using the output explain how many factors you would suggest extracting and why (what are you basing this decision on, how would you decide?)
b. Are there any cross-loading items? If so what should the researcher do with those items?
4. When you have decided how many factors you would expect to retain, explain what the researchers next steps should be.
Correlational analysis
A team of researchers is interested in understanding the relationship between personality traits, narcissism and conscientiousness, trait mindfulness, and resilience. They ran a survey measuring narcissism, conscientiousness, resilience, and mindfulness with 150 employees in a financial services institution. The dataset has been checked for missing values, and there were no influential cases identified using cooks, leverage or Mahalanobis values. The file Assignment 2 Correlational output contains the output from some correlational analysis. Use this output to answer the questions below. 1. What is meant by influential cases and why do we need to check for them?
2. There are five key assumptions for linear regression analysis- using the output report how you would check each one, and whether it is met or violated in the dataset.
3. Report whether any of the predictors significantly predict resilience, and report the appropriate statistics.
4. The researchers were interested in whether mindfulness predicted resilience via conscientiousness.
a. What type of relationship are they investigating?
b. Report the appropriate statistics to show whether the above relationship was found to be significant. You should use tables and figures where appropriate.
c. Explain what these results mean to a non-specialist audience.
5. The researchers found a significant interaction between narcissism and conscientiousness in predicting resilience.
a. Report the appropriate statistics to show that this is the case. You should use tables and figures where appropriate.
b. Explain the interaction effect (simple slopes) in a way that a non-specialist audience could understand.
Experimental Analysis
A study investigated the effect of a brief mindfulness intervention on stress. Below is an excerpt from the procedure section of the report.Job candidates waiting to go into an interview reported their anxiety levels. They then completed either a 5-minute mindfulness body scan, or a 5-minute control task. Following the 5-minute task, participants again reported their anxiety levels before being called into their interview session. Interviews lasted approximately 30 minutes, and participants reported anxiety for a final time before being thanked and debriefedThe researchers hypothesised that the candidate stress levels would increase across the time points for the control condition participants, but that this effect would be attenuated for participants in the mindfulness condition. The file Assignment 2 Experimental output contains the output for the analysis. You should use this to answer the questions below. 1. Write the study design for this study.
2. Report the assumptions tests and whether you are making any adjustments to reporting the main analysis (e.g. why/why not).
3. Report the main effects and interaction effects stating whether the hypothesis was supported. You should use tables and figures where appropriate.
a. Explain what these results mean for a non-specialist audience

Cultural considerations in terms of product manufacture and marketing; in other words, what types of modifications in terms of “go global act local” must be made in order to have a successful product launch?

This unit you’ll explore the nexus between strategy and globalization. In this assignment, you will act as a consultant to XYZ corporation. Individually, you will formulate a plan to help this corporation (in an industry of your choosing) expand into a foreign geographic market. You will need to consider the following within your final report: Taking into account Hofstede’s cultural dimensions, how should expatriate employees behave in order to fit within the respective culture, and how should human resource policies in the foreign subsidiary change to mesh with local norms? What types of strategy should you recommend to XYZ so that their global expansion is successful? When formulating your recommendations, be sure to take into account the entire range of strategy types. You will submit to the Dropbox entitled “Global Strategy Assignment” a 750 word paper, formatted in APA style (to include a title page, abstract, conclusion, and a reference page – Times New Roman, single spaced). Be sure to give equal emphasis to each of the dimensions above. You will need to decide on a specific product (for question #1), and to research Hofstede’s dimensions (regarding your specific country) for question #2. For question #3, be sure to merge the areas of strategy and globalization when deciding on a distribution approach: for example, depending on your product, will you engage in a transnational, or a multi-domestic strategy? Will you use franchising or licensing?Be sure to include at least five scholarly references within your paper from the virtual library. You may also want to consult the virtual librarian in this course for help with this assignment. You may choose any country except the USA. Popular choices have included Sweden, China, India, and Mexico.

Explain the benefits and value of each activity specific to your organization.

Here is the requirement for the assignment: In developing this assignment, you have an opportunity to synthesize and apply the concepts, principles, and theories. You will be writing a paper in response to the following hypothetical situation.Scenario:You work in strategic planning for a Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organization (I would like to write about SABIC). Youve been in the organization in a variety of roles for five years. Recently, the senior leadership team determined that your organization needs a more effective strategy planning process, and youve gladly stepped into a role to help determine what the improved process or activities might be.Youve been asked by your manager to put together specific strategic recommendations to help the executive team better understand the concepts and principles of a well-designed strategy process. Further, these recommendations will include a set of examples of strategy planning activities specific to your organization.Instructions:The choice of organization is up to you. Describe your organization in terms of its industry, type (private or public sector), headquarters and other locations, and size.Present the strategy concepts, theories, and principles that you believe are important for the senior executive leadership team to understand. If there are contradicting opinions from strategy experts, you may want to present both sides in an objective discussion.

Present four examples of strategy planning activities from four different modules that are designed specifically for your hypothetical organization. For each of your strategy planning activities, include a clear and understandable title along with a brief overview description of one or two sentences for each.Example: In MGT510, the focus of Modules 2 and 3 is on Industry Analysis. One example of an activity that would be relevant to content from those modules is AnalyzingIndustry, Key Success Factors, and Profitability.Include the titles of the example activities, with more complete descriptions for each. Your well-written paper should meet the following requirements:Be 9-10 pages in length, which does not include the required title page or reference page, which are never a part of the content minimum requirements.Support your submission with course material concepts, principles, and theories from the textbook and at least three scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articlesName of the Book: Grant, R.
