The once mighty General Motors, unable to survive by meeting the needs of customers turned to the taxpayers for a bailout in the U.S. In Europe its Opel subsidiary required similar life support from the German government. However, GM wanted to get help in a way that enabled it to continue to benefit from Opel.
Read the Chapter 6 Closing Case, “The Fate of Opel”. Write a short summary of the material(one or two well-crafted paragraphs please) and answer the questions below. You may use outside research to help answer the questions.

ii) In reference to the leader behaviours that you have provided (in question 2i); explain as to whether you believe the leader has behaved in a socially responsible or irresponsible way towards their stakeholders and how this has impacted on society. Your answer must clearly identify stakeholders. Your response must be supported with an example.

iii) In reference to the leader behaviours that you have provided (in question 2 i); explain how two of those leader’s ethical values/behaviours could be better focused/applied in that leader’s organisation to improve stakeholder perceptions of the leader and the organisation. Your response must be supported with examples.
