Describe transformational leadership. What are the four types of leadership behaviors that are identified in transformational leadership?

Describe them and how they influence followers?” Student Post: “The concept of in-group and out-group members relates to the Leader-Member exchange theory, particularly the 2nd step that is described as role-making. During this step, the leader in charge puts their employees into either of these categories In-group, or out-group. In-Group – if team members prove themselves loyal, trustworthy and skilled, they’re put into the In-Group. This group is made up of the team members that the manager trusts the most. (MindTools) Realistically, this is also the group that managers favor, and are prone to giving them better responsibilities and work assignments. Alternately, the out-group is essentially the opposite. They may not have strong work ethic or have betrayed the managers trust at some point. Although employees dont get to DIRECTLY choose which group the manager places them in, they can still help to influence the decision with their behavior at work. So if, for example, they choose to be habitually late, then they are essentially choosing to be in the out-group even though it is technically the managers decision. But if they choose to put come into work and put in the extra mile every day, then it would be unfair for them to not be in the in-group. I believe that it is possible for employees to move between the groups, although I think that the out-group is easier to get into, and harder to get out of. But with enough effort, it is only difficult and not impossible to gain back the managers trust.”
