By applying readings from the APA Manual (Chapters 2-6) to their composing and revision practices, students will additionally demonstrate their mastery of APA style, format, and citation. Assignment. Starting with the research problem identified in your Clinical Reflection paper and the keywords you identified at the end of that assignment, begin to search for peer-reviewed scholarly articles on your topic; ultimately, you will need at least 15 sources for your paper. Be selective and intentional in this searchnot just any source that is on the topic will work well for this assignmentbecause you need to be able to synthesize/connect/contrast these sources in a coherent wayalmost weaving them together as a story. It is important that you pay attention to the recency of articles, as well as their reliability and citations (both how cited they are, and whether they seem to cite any articles that other sources citethis might indicate an important touchstone text for the survey). Following the format in Chapter 6, begin by outlining your paper (see p. 91 for a helpful example). Note that, somewhat different from the empirical and case study articles youve investigated, the reviewing of literature largely occurs after the Methods section. As you get to your findings (the lit review part of the Lit Review), consider strategies for how you will organize your findings (see p. 98-99); this pertains to how you cluster your sources, but also to how you order these clusters. Your paper should be between 10 and 15 pages in length, not including the Title Page and References page, and should be written in 10-12pt Times New Roman font, with 1.5-2.0 spacing. The literature review, itself, should contain no fewer than 15 peer-reviewed academic sources. In-text and References citations, the Title Page (See APA manual pgs. 21-25, 41), the Running Head, any Figures/Tables, and the Headers should all conform to APA standards.
