Specifically, the Defendant is accused of possession of 1000 100 milligram baggies of crystalline methamphetamine hydrochloride (N-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amine), commonly known as methamphetamine or crystal meth.We need a memo from you addressing our chances for success in prosecuting this case. We are only interested in the question of whether Mr. Schrute knowingly possessed the methamphetamine in violation of 21 U.S.C. 841(a)(1). Your analysis should be limited to this issue. You should not address any other issues. Specifically, you should not address issues relating to the lawfulness of the stop or search of the car. Additionally, you should note that venue is proper in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.Please give this your immediate attention. We will need the completed memorandum by November 19, 2018. Using these two kinds of sources will enable you to quickly find the majority of the relevant authority for your Open Memo assignment. In addition to finding primary authority, the secondary sources will give you a good overview of the analysis of this assignment.Instructions: Read through this entire assignment.
