On separate sheets of paper I wrote each subsection I had listed I wanted to talk about in section 1. While going through my articles I took note on what statements or information I wanted to use and wrote them on the corresponding topic. After going though all my articles I decided I had enough notes to begin writing. When I started writing I just followed my notes and ordered them to flow easily. One section had the most information and I had to create a mini outline to guide where I was going with that topic. This was the best way for me to organize my thoughts and it worked well. The only real challenges I faced were not having enough information to fill the minimum page requirement. I did add an extra section the I feel may be more appropriate for an introduction section rather than with my independent variable section. I did stop before completely filling the fourth page however because I knew if I continued to write it would either be useless information or repetitive information. So far going back and doing the editing assignment I am realizing a few things that need to be fixed, but overall I felt I did pretty well staying on topic. The way your expanded your outline, broke down each article, and organized your thoughts sounds very effective for your writing process. I feel as though I may have the same issues you had with the page limit with my section 2 draft. I have numerous more articles for my independent variable than for my dependent variable. As I begin to write this section I am fearful I wont be able to fill 4 pages without rambling. For me, I didn’t have the best outline to start with. I confused myself entirely for that assignment and once I had my phone call with Dominique it all clicked with me. I had to redo my outline before I began to write my first draft. I also had to find a few more articles in order to create a new subtopic. Overall, once I got going on the draft it was able to come together nicely.
