For this one-paragraph reader response, consider one of the short stories in terms of either Campbell, Lakeoff and Johnson, or Sontag. Quotes should be used judiciously, or paraphrased all references must be cited properly per MLA formatting and citation style. Fragments, run-on sentences, and comma splices should be eliminated before paper is turned in. The paper should be double spaced, no extra line spaces around the title, 1 margins, header, full MLA heading, 12 point font, Times New Roman typeface. This paper will be graded based on how well it engages the material (the short story, the chosen element, the chosen theme, the theories and theorists). Follow all instructions, which puts the paper at a minimum or developing level in the rubric (in the syllabus). This is generally a C grade.
