Be sure to include: a. How your actions in the situation showed your individual assertiveness style. b. How your degree of assertiveness may have differed from that of others in the situation, or from what others expected of you; and how this influenced the outcome of the situation. c. If this situation arose again, what you would do differently? Part III: Reflections for Personal and Professional Growth Thinking about the new insights you may now have about yourself, and possibly others, from both Reflective Paper 1 and now Paper 2: a. What would you like to change or develop in yourself? How could you go about making these changes? Is assertiveness something you would like to develop? How does this information on assertiveness add to what you learned about yourself in Reflective Paper 1? b. How could you use this knowledge about yourself (knowledge about your own assertiveness) to improve interacting with patients, families, and staff, or your family and friends? c. How could a mentor help you develop the areas you identified for growth from Reflective Paper 1 and this Paper 2? How would you find such a mentor? Be specific! Should convicted felons be able to vote?

As citizens, we have the responsibility to ensure that people are afforded the opportunity to live in a good place. One of our civic duties is to vote to uphold the democratic values our country is founded upon. When someone violates the accepted order, part of their punishment is to suspend or vacate their right to vote. Although voting may not seem to be a big concern, the voting process is the way we, as a country, choose who will make and enforce our laws.
This is not a simple matter. Explore the issue and make a determination. Do not focus exclusively on what you want to see, but look at the entire picture. Failing to consider alternate viewpoints will only make your argument weak. Support your argument with evidence. Keep in mind that this can be a very divisive issue and you must state your case to an audience that ranges from apathetic to hostile.

While doing so she came across the mid term for her American Politics test. She didnt know what is was at first until she read the title and took a glance at the essay question that would be 50% of her grade for that test. She read the topic but the afterwards flipped the paper over so she could read anymore. The topic was the positions on federalism taken by Madison and Hamilton. Lucy really wanted to pass this midterm with at least a C so she did her research on the topic and took several notes. What is the ethical issue in this scenario? What should Michael do? Justify your answer using at least two ethical theories.

Michael Vasquez was proud of his job as a new product manager for a technology start-up, and he loved the challenges, risks and tough decisions that went along with the job. But as he sat in his office after a long day, he was troubled, struggling over what had happened earlier that day and the information he now knows.Just before lunch, Michaels boss had handed him a pile of private strategic documents from their closest competitor. It was a competitive intelligence gold mine product plans, pricing strategies, partnership agreements and other documents, most clearly marked private and confidential. When Michael asked where the documents came from, his boss told him with a touch of pride that he had taken them right off the competing firms server. I got into a private section of their intranet and downloaded everything that looked interesting, he said. Later, realising Michael was suspicious, the boss would say only that he had obtained electronic access via a colleague and had not personally broken any passwords. Maybe not, Michael thought to himself, but this situation wouldnt pass the 60 Minutes test. If word of this acquisition of a competitors confidential data ever got out to the press, the companys reputation would be ruined.Michael didnt feel good about using these materials. He spent the afternoon searching for answers to his dilemma, but found no clear company policies or regulations that offered any guidance. His sense of fair play told him that to use the information was unethical, if not downright illegal. What bothered him even more was the knowledge that this kind of thing might happen again. Using this confidential information would certainly give him and his company a competitive advantage, but Michael wasnt sure he wanted to work for a firm that would stoop to such tactics.Sources: Adapted from Weber, Kent (JanuaryFebruary 2001).
