Explain how historical lenses could be applied to your topic. For instance, are there aspects of this event that might interest a political historian and what are they?

This assessment addresses the following course outcomes:
Investigate major developments in the progression of historical inquiry for informing critical questions related to historical narrative
Articulate the value of examining historical events for their impact on contemporary issues
Prompt
Now that you have done some research with primary and secondary sources (using only the sources provided in the research kit for your chosen topic) and
written an introduction for a possible history paper, you will turn your attention to thinking about the creation and value of historical inquiry. You will use the
research you have done throughout this course, as well as course materials, to inform your thoughts. To present your opinions and observations, you will create
a multimedia presentation (using a presentation tool such as PowerPoint or Prezi) that addresses the following critical elements. While these questions may
seem big, remember that you are addressing them in a presentation, not a paper, and can use bullet points, visuals, or other methods. These critical elements
will be evaluated from the information you provide in your multimedia presentation of 1012 slides. Note: If using Prezi, be sure to include a word document
with notes. If using PowerPoint, be sure to use the speaker notes feature.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Articulate how different historical lenses impact how people perceive an historical event.
A.
B. Choose one of the lenses referenced above, and detail how the historical narrative you started in your research and introduction might change
through this lens. For instance, how might the story of your event change when studied through its political aspects?
C. Discuss what conclusions you can draw about the telling of history in relation to the teller. How does this impact for you what history is?
Be sure to back up your opinions with information learned throughout the course.
II. Based on your conclusions, articulate the value of studying history.
A. Describe how you could apply to our lives today what you have learned from the event you have studied. Be sure to reference specific
contemporary issues. For instance, what specific issues that we encounter today could benefit from lessons learned from your event?
B. Discuss your opinion of the adage that history repeats itself. Do you agree or disagree? Be sure to explain why you have this opinion with
information you have learned throughout the course.
C. Discuss your obligation as a citizen of your society to understanding the history behind issues that impact you every day. For instance, what civic
duties you can be better at if you know more about their history? How can being a more informed member of society benefit you and society?
Supporting Work and Resources
Throughout Theme 4, there are opportunities to work directly on different elements of the multimedia presentation.
1. In Learning Block 4-2, you will organize your thoughts and arguments as you work on your presentation.
2. In Learning Block 4-3, you will explain the value of history as you determined it during the course of your project. You will address the importance of the
study of history (and of your topic). Questions will be used to help you organize your thoughts.
3. In Learning Block 4-5, submit your finalized version of Project 3, the multimedia presentation.
4. For your presentation, you may use PowerPoint, Prezi, Microsoft Word, or another presentation platform of your choosing. Reference the resources
below for assistance getting started with PowerPoint or Prezi.
For support on developing a multimedia presentation, refer to the PowerPoint Training (Windows PC or Mac) or Prezi Training Atomic Learning tutorials from
Learning Block 4-2. Log in to Atomic Learning using your SNHU email address as your username and your SNHU email password as your password. Be sure to
include notes as needed in your presentation in order to meet the outlined critical element

Roy Wilkins contribution to the African – American Civil Rights Movement

Each student should choose a person from the list below and write an approximately five to ten page paper on that individuals contribution to the African – American Civil Rights Movement. The paper should consist of a brief biography of the individual and the importance of what that individual (or his family) did enhance the Civil Rights movement in America. required to have footnotes and a bibliography. Use University of Chicago style for notation and Bibliography. You should use a minimum of 5 sources one of which should be a biography (book form) of the personality.

1. What purpose does this paragraph fulfill within the essay? In other words, expand on the title you gave it next to the Roman numeral.2. Why did you place this paragraph here specifically?

At the top of a Word document (in the usual MLA format), type your thesis statement. Then, using your list of reasons and evidence from Daily Grade 12, begin constructing the body sections of your outline (we’ll do an introduction and conclusion next week). Represent each body paragraph with a Roman numeral, and put a descriptive name next to the Roman numeral (for instance, if the paragraph is going to provide background information or definitions of terminology, you can say so here).Example:II. Background Information
III. Supporting Argument 1 (or, Reason 1)
IV. Supporting Argument 2
V. Summary of Exhibit Source (or, Example to Support Argument)
etc.Under each section of the outline, using the format seen in the sample paper from the Unit 3 folder, break down your paragraph into its component parts. You don’t need to write complete sentences here, but you should explain what kinds of information, arguments, and evidence you plan to provide in this paragraph, including places where you might want to insert quotations, paraphrases, or summaries from your sources. You might consider using the Interrogation Method or the SIEL Method (see the Readings folder) to help you construct these sections, but do not feel limited by them. Just make sure you provide sufficient details and support for any argument you make through the use of logic and evidence. You can have more than one section of outline (more than one body paragraph, in other words) for each of your reasons, evidence, background information, etc. However many paragraphs you need is a judgment call, but for this daily grade, you should have at least four sections of outline representing the body of your paper (again, that is not including the introduction or conclusion, which we will work on next week).Once you have finished constructing the body sections of your outline, underneath each portion of the outline, write a reflection paragraph explaining the choices you made in constructing the paragraph. Do not just use this paragraph to reiterate what the outline already indicates, nor to make your argument. Your reflection paragraphs should explain the following:3. Why did you arrange the paragraph as you did?4. If this paragraph contains strictly information, why do you feel it is necessary to share this information with your audience? If this paragraph supports your argument, what rhetorical appeals are you using (logos, or logic; pathos, or emotion; ethos, or credibility) and why? How does this paragraph support your overall purpose for your essay? If you use any specific quotes or ideas from a source, be sure to use quotation marks and in-text citations as is appropriate, and include a Works Cited page with all your sources at the end (if you want, you can just copy and paste the contents of Daily Grade 10 to the end of this document). Please seek assistance as needed to ensure that you are quoting and citing correctly.

Do you believe that lack of female leadership in top executive positions is a problem in our country? What do you–as a woman OR a man–take away from this talk?

For your research paper,
you will need to choose one TED talk that we have watched this semester that presents
an idea that you feel reveals a problem that is worth exploring at greater length.
After selecting your talk, you will then need to identify a problem that is raised in the talk
and pose a feasible solution that will either solve OR improve the problem.
Your goal is not to argue the same thing as the speaker but rather to build upon the
topic by offering a more specific claim.
For example, I would not want to argue that women should sit at the table in order to
improve their chances of working their way up the corporate ladder, as that is
Sandbergs argument; however, I might want to propose that womens leadership
courses be instituted in public high schools (or even Broward County high schools!) as a
way of preparing women to enter male-dominated fields.
Your proposal should clearly identify a problem and pose a viable solution. The TED
talk should serve as one source for your essay. Please do not choose the same
TED talk that you worked with in the first essay.

Discuss how the buildings or writings relate to the cultural values and traditions of its time. Is it a representative building or a new innovative structure?

Your assignment is to choose a topic related to the required text or video lectures we learned in this semester (or at least related to architecture) and finish a 3,000 words minimum paper. You are encouraged to develop your own BIG idea for the paper. It means you will need to find an original argument on architectural history. An architect (like paper one), a building, a historical event, a book or treatise, a style of architecture, an architecture school…it is a free topic. For example, your paper could explore some of the following issues:
What might other previous structures have been a precedent or influence on the design?
Describe the physical context of a key building. What is the character of the surrounding site area? How does the building relate to its context? Is it part of a larger set of building relationships?
Discuss the social significance of the building or literature. What impact might it have on peoples lives? On the lives of architects today? How do various types of people feel about the building? What rituals or cultural events relate to the building or writing?Choose an architect just a the midterm. What was the architects overall philosophy toward architecture? What specific ideas did the architect bring to his work? Who were the architects teachers and students? Detailed Requirements (Important)Format
Use Arial font, 12 point, double-spaced, with 1 on all margins.
Citation Style
Use Chicago Style 16 footnotes and a bibliography. The footnotes and bibliography do not count toward the 3000-words count. More information on Chicago Style 16 can be accessed at The Chicago Style Manual through the Purdue OWL and at Fairfield University. Please see “Chicago Style 16 Sample Paper ” as an example of what a completed paper should look like in Chicago Style 16.Use 5 Sources
You are required to use at least five sources total for the 3000-words paper. Information for this paper should come from a variety of sources. You are encouraged to use books, videos, interviews, documentaries and academically recognized scholarly web sources to develop your own “big idea” that will clearly articulate an organized set of ideas about the architect you have chosen. Web sources may be used, but academic journals and publications are more appreciated. Do not use any Wikipedia or commercial sites (like history.com or biography.com) as a source as it is unverifiable and can be edited at any time. To begin your search for scholarly sources, please visit the UF online Library page.Bibliography
Please include a Bibliography for your sources. Note that the Bibliography format is slightly different from the footnote format, as it is alphabetized by the last name.

Please look and read the example what I uploaded. It is not comparing of Student A and B. Just read each students’ post and response to each one of students A and B. Responses to colleagues A and B are well thought out and ideas are well developed.

All posts incorporate key points from readings and/or class discussion. Responses to classmates are substantive in content and new information is provided using links. Responses to Student A and B include substantial & significant content and ideas. Includes 100-150 words for each response. !!All resources has to be published within 5years!!

Define the event project and propose the events objectives2 Critically explore the anticipated needs of customers

Event professionals face many challenges in the organisation of an event. When approached by a client, the remit may give you little more than the outline of the customer group and initial thoughts concerning the type of event to be held. Location decisions, suggested format / itinerary, logistical and resource considerations present the events professional with a spaghetti problem to unravel into a structured project plan. Development of creative solutions and proactive strategies appropriate to the nature of the event and the needs of stakeholders will therefore require initiative and intellectual dexterity. TASKYou are a professional events organiser, who has been contracted by Birmingham City Council (working in conjunction with Age UK) to plan, develop and pilot a new city outdoor event Tea For Two. The event, geared towards the elderly residing in Birmingham, shares Age UKs vision : Birmingham : Where Everyone Can Love Later Life. If successful, Birmingham City Council and Age UK plan to develop and host many more of these events across the city on an annual basis. It is anticipated that this first event will attempt to target 1000 attendees.
To commence this process, you have been requested to submit an event proposal report that addresses a number of key event project areas vital to the success of this future event. Your report must :
3 Use a weighted criteria model / centre of gravity method to identify and justify a suitable event venue / location within the Birmingham region.4 Include a detailed map of the locality with supportive justifications for your choice (Ordnance Survey map of area or similar preferred)5 Develop a work breakdown schedule6 Evaluate the resource requirements7 Present a suitable project management model (Gantt Chart) detailing the anticipated timeframe and anticipated planned scheduling of the event together with supportive justifications for your actions8 Offer reasoned conclusions and recommendations
Students are therefore expected to consult the project management literature to both inform and support their analysis, using industry examples.Additional supporting information for the report (if appropriate) can be provided in the Appendices.

Entrepreneurship, Organizational Agility, and many others) should be used in describing what gives the company a competitive advantage over others (or describes why they have not succeeded).

PLEASE USE TARGET CORPORATION AS THE TOPIC. The student will choose a company with which they are familiar (that begins with the first letter of their last name) and write a 4-5 page paper on how well the company is managed based on the criteria we have learned about in the text. Major text chapter headings (e.g., Planning & Strategic Management, Ethics & Corporate Responsibility, It is not necessary to use all chapter headings (you can pick the best or worst areas), but your analysis should pick the strongest (or even weakest) areas of the selected company. You can use Internet, magazines/newspapers, and even personal experiences and observations of the company. You can look at a company based on success or failure. Report should be mailed (regular US Postal Service) to the instructors home. Print on one side only and include a title page but no binders.
